A stop is made at Rancho Grande (Bar and Mountain Refuge) where we use restrooms, hand out maps, explain the use of canes and crampons if necessary, and set a meeting point in the same place.
We offer coffee and snack free of charge to recharge energy before starting the trek as well as on the way back to come back warm.
On the trek you will be inside part of the Andean forest. If you are lucky, you will be able to see some of the animals that live there.
Be surprised by all the landscapes that you will cross on your way... a dream place like few others.
The trail starts in El Chalten and ends in El Chalten.
The only fork they find is Mirador FitzRoy. We do not use that trail per IFE protocol.
The service includes a lunch box (ham and cheese sandwich, muffins, granola, water, fruit). We have no other options, except food restrictions (Celiac or vegetarian).
After enjoying the stunning views of Cerro Fitz Roy and filling yourself with the magic of the place, you will take a well-signposted path to return to the town of El Chaltén. We will be waiting for you at a meeting point previously set for the return to El Calafate.
